Industrial GPRS communication device for M2M solutions

In the recent modern metering technique the keystone of the intelligent metering and data collection is the reliable and economically operable data communication. With the development and spread of mobile technology the numbers of devices, which are connected on mobile technology are dynamically increasing. The INTELLIPORT 100 GPRS modem was developed definitely for industrial usage therefore it has features, which make it distinguishable from the general purpose devices.

 

  • Extreme environmental parameters and strong noise are typical in the industrial application area, so it demanded to establish a general purpose GSM/GPRS communicator, which makes it possible to reach our devices reliably anytime and independently of the distance.
  • The INTELLIPORT 100 GPRS industrial modem implements wireless data transmission through mobile-communication channel. This device is able to operate without supervision 7×24 storing its configuration data in memory independently of power-cut.
  • The INTELLIPORT 100 GPRS consists of a low-consumption dual-band (900/1800 MHz) GSM/GPRS data module. The call can get through an ordinary wired or a digital ISDN device and from another standard GSM data module as well. This device supports the traditional analogue and the rapid digital contact too.
  • The INTELLIPORT 100 GPRS supports the RS 232, the CLO and the RS-422/RS-485, the M-Bus communication or rather the special data transmission protocols based on customers’ demand.
  • The INTELLIPORT 100 GPRS operates reliably in online and offline mode as well depending on the user demands. In online mode this configuration communicates with the centre continuously without making it loaded (built-in connection-control protocol), in offline mode after making connection it sends or receives data then it is put on stand-by automatically. The suitable, continuous operability of the modem is ensured by built-in surveillance electronics.
  • The speciality of INTELLIPORT 100 GPRS modem lies in that the data communication in itself becomes controllable and manageable joining to the INTELLIPORT central communication software-solution. Besides the GPRS modem the operating software of end-devices can be upgraded remotely.
